NEW PORTUGUESE REVUE
Pregnant women giving birth on a highway; a murderer who only wants to appear on television; consultations that go wrong; doctors on strike and brides who marry at first sight are some of the many themes... what kind of country is this? The best thing to do is say: "STOP, IT'S URGENT!" and laugh together at the new Portuguese Revue at the Maria Vitória Theatre. Another luxurious production by Hélder Freire Costa, "PÁRA, QUE É URGENTE!" is the title of this revue, which will be a great surprise for all the audience, a great celebration of joy and good cheer that will entertain and liven up Parque Mayer!
MONEY MUSEUM
The Money Museum offers a markedly interactive experience that uses multimedia technology to showcase its legacy. Its unconventional museography focuses on creating surprising environments capable of engaging visitors and promoting knowledge building. This is a museum aware of its social function and the symbolic presence it has in the city and the country; a museum that prioritizes contact with diverse audiences, invests in educational and cultural programming, and maintains a strong connection to the community and the city.
ARCO DA RUA AUGUSTA
Arco da Rua Augusta symbolizes the strength of Lisbon reborn after the fury of the earth, fire, and sea that consumed it in the 1755 earthquake. At the top, you can see the magnificent sculptures by Célestin Anatole Calmels, where Glory crowns Genius and Valor. The remaining statues, by Victor Bastos, represent figures from our history. To the left is the Marquis of Pombal, followed by Vasco da Gama, Viriato, and, further to the right, Nuno Álvares Pereira. It is impossible not to feel inspired by such figures, in a 360º view from where you can see the best that Lisbon has to offer.
PÁRA, QUE É URGENTE!
Promising over two hours of social and political commentary, accompanied by the wit, spice, and fantasy of Portuguese revue, "PÁRA, QUE É URGENTE!" will be performed by a fantastic cast of beloved actors and singers, in addition to an extraordinary group of young dancers and acrobats who will delight the audience. This revue also features a live orchestra, dazzling sets, and a luxurious wardrobe, perfectly suited to the revue style. Where criticism and elegance meet for a show that will make you laugh, on a stage where a joke only has value when it respects the person being joked about.
