CÓRDOBA

Córdoba is a city where time seems to have stood still at a crossroads of civilizations. GRANADA

Located in the lower part of the Sierra Nevada, Granada is perhaps the most romantic and mystical city in Spain. Granada was the last Muslim stronghold on the Iberian Peninsula, giving it a profoundly distinct character where Arab culture intertwines with Christian Baroque. The Granada Cathedral is considered the first Renaissance cathedral in Spain and a monument to the victory of the Catholic Monarchs. From this vantage point, you get the most famous view in Spain: the Alhambra silhouetted against the snow-capped peaks of the Sierra Nevada, especially stunning at sunset.

The Alhambra is much more than a palace; it's a fortified palatine city representing the pinnacle of Nasrid art and one of the most dazzling testimonies of the Islamic presence in Europe. Strategically located on La Sabika hill in Granada, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Sacromonte is Granada's gypsy quarter, famous for its rock-carved houses (cuevas) where flamenco was born and remains alive in its purest form: Zambra. Watching a show inside these whitewashed caves is an intimate and visceral experience, where the sound of shoes on the stone floor and the echo of voices create a unique acoustics.
